Hi There,
I have a few datasets I'm combining for a marketing dashboards - I have facebook data, lead gens, and some sendgrid email status data all broken out by day or per event with a datetimezone timestamp. I create my report and it looks great ! But I want to be able to sort it easily by timeframe. By default the timeline slicer just filters one date field from one of these datasets - which is great but I'd like the timeline slicer to affect all date fields in the page or report. Would relationships help in this instance ? I haven't used those too much except for joins. Thanks !

Hey @BenMcChesney,
You are going to need a Calendar dimenson table to achieve what you want (Check out the link here). Once you have created the Calendar table, you can build relationships from your datasets to the Calendar table based on the datetime columns and then use the common Calendar date to show data from all the datasets.
Hope this helps,
Alan

That advice worked! Thanks so much. I ended up following the instructions here https://gqbi.wordpress.com/2016/09/07/create-dynamic-periods-for-fiscal-or-calendar-dates-in-power-b...
