text to decimal conversion returns scientific notation for some numbers
I have a csv file that has a column that starts as a text column but is converted to a decimal. I trim and clean the column before I promote the header and change the type to decimal. For the numbers that have multiple decimal points, Power query displays the number as scientific notation. Should this be this?
This is the column before changing to type decimal
This is the column after changing to type decimal.

As long as the numbers are properly represented this is not a problem.

angelakephart , Open Data Transformation, Right-click on the table and open advance editor and change data type to number there, if it is not number
See if this dax function can help
