text box changes alignment in hebrew automatically

hello everybody

I'm trying to write some text explaining the data in my report.
to begin with writing in a right to left and left to right languages in the same line is complicated but doable
after I finished writing the text i moved to other tab in the report, once I went back to the tab with the Hebrew text
it changed....
here are some pictures to explain what is happening

this is the hebrew text when i finished writing itthis is how the text appear after i viewed another tab in the report

my questions are:

1. how to solve this issue?

2. do you have any better tools to add text to the report?

  • There is a trick I'm using and it works quiet well.

You need to do two things:

    1. Place all weird charachters (. , - : ๐Ÿ˜‰ at the start of the sentence.

    For example (a dot)

    Insted of writing:

    ืฉืœื•ื ืขื•ืœื.

    Write:

    .ืฉืœื•ื ืขื•ืœื

    2. Paste the text to the PowerBi's text visual with line breaks. so the auto text wrap wont work.

place the charecter at the start of the corrcect line.

    for example

    insted of pasting:

    paste

    ืžืฉืคื˜ ืืจื•ืš ื™ื—ืชืš ื‘ื•ื™ื–ื•ืืœ ืœืฉื ื™ ืžืฉืคื˜ื™ื

    .ื›ื™ ื”ื•ื ืืจื•ืš

important to place the dot at the start of the last line.

    * Don't forget to align the text to the right using the text visual ribbon.

    * Don't mix hebrew and English in the same sentence.

My advice, forget you read this post and tell your product manager that it cannot be done ๐Ÿ™‚
