target total while no filters are selected

hi,

In our dashboard we have a Slicer visual which is based on Salesman from Sales table.

A Chiclet sllicer visual shows the Brand of the product

We have a card visual showing the total target for the month

target is based on each brand for salesman, for eg salesman AAA has brands Samsung, Nokia etc and each brand has a seaparate target .

when we select salesman from slicer visual, target figure changes accordingly in the card visual

but when we select chiclet slicer alomg with salesman visual then the card visual should show target value of that brand for the salesman

how can we make this happen, request your guidance

regards,

dsmitha

Hey @dsmitha ,

to be honest, I do not understand the question or being more precise - your problem. From my understanding, you want the selection in the chiclet slicer effect (meaning filter) the card visual. Basically, you want the same behavior for the Chiclet slicer as from the normal slicer.

This is happening, see the little gif below:

How slicers are filtering data - using chiclet and slicer.gif

If this does not work for your dashboard (technically it's a report page, in a report), then the most probable reason is this: The column that feeds the Chiclet slicer does not filter the target table.

Maybe you have to adapt your data model.

Regards,

Tom
