table visual filtering slicer values

I have 2 slicers Manager (list of names) and Dept (list of depts) and table visual holding info including (Project name,Manager name, Dept name).

1. filter value in slicer -> other slicers and tables rows are getting filtered.

2. selecting a row in table - > slicers are not filtering. 

All the data are in same table.

why option-2 is not working ? is that a limitation ?
