Solved

sum per column

Dears,

I'm an absolute beginner with Power BI.

This is a table I created where I simply need a sum per year at the bottom (at the top would be even better).

When I tried the result was always a esult with subtotals inbetween, I'm not able to make it without subtotals 😞

I'm sure there is a solution 🙂

Thanks a lot!

    Klaus64 ,

You can use outline view under layout and style presets from format pane to see the totals at the top.

  • Hi Klaus64  You can acheive this:

To acheive this, need tweek matrix visual settings:
First change Matrix layout to tabular and then turn off culumn subtotal:

Then turn on row subtotal and expand it. Turn on Per row level. If you want to turn of subtotal for specific level select it from drop down and turn of that level by clicking show subtotal.

This way you can customize your matrix visual as you want.

    Hope this helps!!

    Dears, thanks to all proposals!

At the end I did it differently:

In wanted to see the total of the "Material", so I have to change the order:

Because this is the result I needed:
