Hi
I am new to Power BI Desktop. I have imported a simple dataset which has a KPI description, a target figure and the current value. On the dataset under modelling i have set each column to not summerise.
On the fields there are no aggregations (e.g. count or sum)
However, when I try to use the target figure or the value figure in any visualisation in the values field it always turns it into a "count of" so for example count of target figure. What i would like is to use the actual values not a count or a sum. please can someone explain how I can stop this happening.
Many thanks
Andrew

Hi
Thanks for the reply.
I think I have worked out aggregates, i think the major issue was the data coming through as Text which then caused me only to allow count options
thanks
Its available , if you go to "data view" , select column under your required dataset, then at the top under "columns tool" menu, you should be able to select "No summarization"

for some visuals, if you don't want it aggregated, put it in the AXIS or LEGEND fields if they are available. If you drag it to VALUES, the visual may try to aggregate it for you.
Hi @andrewhoddie,
What's your target visualisation? I test it in table visual, right the field->you can select "Don't summarize" if the type of field is text, please see the first following screenshot. If the type of field is number, you can select any aggregation function.
If this is not what you want, please post your sample data or screenshot for further analysis.
Best Regards,
Angelia
Would be nice, but "Do not Summarize" is not availble to me in PowerBI Desktop
