i have one column named name_insured which is text type data.In database value of that field is like Water- Edge Townhomes.
but when i load data from database to power bi that value is changed to Water’s Edge Townhomes. some special character is showing instead of hypen(-).i need hypen itself in my report ..how can i get that?plse help....

Could not reproduce it in my environment. Which database you are using and what is the specific data type of this column in the database? Could you please consider sharing more details about this issue for further discussion?

It is encoding issue.
When you load the data make sure you use UTF-8

Have you tried the following function in Power Query
TextEncoding.Utf8
