slicer changed automatically

There are two slicer in my dashborad, the slicer A can control slicer B.

But once I changed slicer A from YTD to QTD, slicer B still keep the month 'Aug' in the dropdown list.

How can I show Q1, Q2, Q3 or Q4 directly once I changed the slicer A?

Hey @szeho ,

unfortunately you can't. The reason for this: A slicer does not filter another slicer. Dependent slicer (coming from the same table, utilizing bi-directional relationships, or using measures to filter what's visible) do not change the current selection.

You can achieve what you are looking for by using bookmarks instead, but you have to make sure that you are leveraging the more advanced bookmark options like "Selected visuals" . This article explains the bookmarks feature: Create report bookmarks in Power BI to share insights and build stories - Power BI | Microsoft Docs

Hopefully, this provides some ideas on how to tackle your challenge.

Regards,

Tom

@szeho , Any selected value will not get removed when the values are changed dynamically, it changes the value but does not remove it. It is known issue
