sankey diagram layout keeps changing

I have built a sankey diagrams with specific filters. However when the filter changes then the layout also changes with all nodes and node links overlapping. Is there a way to resolve this as it seems each time the filter changes, we would need to manually modify the layout again.

    Please provide more details. Which Sankey visual are you using?  Which version?   (Often the behavior differs drastically in between versions of the same visual)
