same week last year comparison
Hi there - can someone please advise on how I can show a comparison of the same week last year?
As you can see the dates could be one day up and down and I would like to show this on a line chart view.
How can I make it look like the graph below with the above data?
sraj , With help from date table
week Year behind Sales = CALCULATE(SUM(Sales[Sales Amount]),dateadd('Date'[Date],-364,DAY))
Or have additional column in date table
new columns
Week Start date = 'Date'[Date]+-1*WEEKDAY('Date'[Date],2)+1
Week End date = 'Date'[Date]+ 7-1*WEEKDAY('Date'[Date],2)
Week Rank = RANKX(all('Date'),'Date'[Week Start date],,ASC,Dense)
OR
Week Rank = RANKX(all('Date'),'Date'[Year Week],,ASC,Dense) //YYYYWW format
measures
This Week = CALCULATE(sum('Table'[Qty]), FILTER(ALL('Date'),'Date'[Week Rank]=max('Date'[Week Rank])))
Last Week = CALCULATE(sum('Table'[Qty]), FILTER(ALL('Date'),'Date'[Week Rank]=max('Date'[Week Rank])-1))Last year Week= CALCULATE(sum('Table'[Qty]), FILTER(ALL('Date'),'Date'[Week Rank]=(max('Date'[Week Rank]) -52)))
or
Last year Week= CALCULATE(sum('Table'[Qty]), FILTER(ALL('Date'),'Date'[Week Rank]=(max('Date'[Week Rank]) -53)))

To get the best of the time intelligence function. Make sure you have a date calendar and it has been marked as the date in model view. Also, join it with the date column of your fact/s. Refer :radacad sqlbi My Video Series Appreciate your Kudos.

Along with the above, this is what I needed...
Same Week Day Last year =CALCULATE([Sales], dateadd('Date'[Date],-364,Day))
thank you amitchandak

Hi sraj amitchandak ! Is there any way to get the NoOfIntervalDays (e.g, -364) dynamically? Cause expectedly next year it might be -366.
Same Week Day Last year =CALCULATE([Sales], dateadd('Date'[Date],-364,Day))
