rolling average visual filter doesn't work

Hi all,

I'm trying to figure out a way to display 12 month average values.

The quick measure worked for me, and the visual shows the right calculated numbers.

As soon as I connect it with a slicer (so I don't see the whole past 15 years from my data) and connect it with the visual it shows me an error:

(137,2) Calculation error in measure: Time intelligence quick mesures can only be grouped or filtered by the Power BI-provided date hierarchy or primary date column.

Since I'm using the same date colum I've used in the quick measure I am not sure what I should to differently.

Would be very happy if anybody knows how to fix this issue...

Thanks a lot!

@project_team,

Check the relationship and make sure you select the Date Hierarchy.

Hi Sam,

thanks for your fast answer!

Do I need an extra table with a date as shown in the exapmle?

Right now I'm using a date column within the same table with the quick measure.
