required columns in data model

i should keep only required columns in data model considering best practices. should i keep only required column in power query or i should load all columns of table in power query and then remove unnecessary in data model?

Based on the description, it is recommended to perform data cleaning and transformation in power query before loading the data into the data model.

I think you can remove unnecessary columns through Power Query.
