rearranging columns in Power BI desktop

Hello

The below snapshot is from Power BI desktop and I wanted Final mitigation reasons column and comment/mitigation column next to each other.  Currently they are wide apart. Is that possible? The columns inbetween the highlighted columns are calculated columns hence they don't appear when I click transform data.

Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks

Hi @uc - You can create a new table visual and arrange the columns as needed like adding a new table visual to your report add desired columns side by side instead of looking in table view.

  • Add the columns "Final Mitigation Reasons" and "Comment/Mitigation" to the new table visual.
  • Add any other necessary columns while ensuring that the desired columns are next to each other.

or still looking for both columns side by side, you can create new columns with concatenation approach using calculated column and see the result.

New column = 'Table'[Final Mitigation Reasons] & " - " & 'Table'[Comment/Mitigation]

Hope it helps.

Hi  thanks for getting back. when I tranform data,  I can rearrange the columns. I have attahced a snapshot of the transform data screen and you can see the reasons and comment column are next to each other. However when I save and apply, these two columns are not next to each other.
