Hi everyone!
I am connecting from the Desktop to Azure Databricks using the connector (Databricks.Catalogs function in power query).
From approximately last Power BI update, (3 weeks ago approx) it started to fail and giving me this error: ODBC: ERROR [HY000] [Microsoft] [ThriftExtention] (14) Unexpected response from server during a HTTP connection: SSL_connect : certificate verify failed"
After adding the following microsoft.sparkodbc.ini file:
[Driver]
CheckCertRevocation=0
file following the workaround found here: Automated HTTP proxy detection
the error is now "ODBC: ERROR[IM004][Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager]Driver's SQLAllocHandle on SQL_ENV failed"
So far I've tried:
Currently with the last update of Power Bi there is no Simba Spark driver Installed
Any idea or suggestion, since I do not what else to try
Thanks!
Hi @_Devesa ,
The error messages indicate that the ODBC driver configuration is incorrect or missing dependencies. Please try using a previous version of PowerBI Desktop to rule out any compatibility or configuration issues with the current version. Additionally, you can test the connection on another computer to determine if the issue is related to the configuration or settings of the current computer.
Best Regards,
Zhu
Thanks Zu,
Yes tried that. As mentioned,I tried with the Nov 2024 version, on which it was working. But no success. My colleague in the same office has the same issue.
