Hi all, this has been a long-standing question in our office- how can we get our inspectors to indicate that they're "claiming" certain inspections points on a map? We've sometimes had the costly mistake of 2 inspectors driving out to see a property that another colleague has already inspected, so it's important we see who has the intention of going to go see a property. We use the Bing map, and when we click on a dot, it filters the tables on the report appropriately.
For example, if I lassoo the dots above, I get this in the table to the right:
As it stands currently, when they hover over a dot, they get the tooltip, and then if they hover long enough, they get a drill-through option that allows them to go to another page, however, I don't think they will have enough patience to leave the page, click a button, and come back to the map for every dot. It would be great if there was a button directly on the same page as the map.
I refresh and re-publish the report every morning manually, but that's not often enough for inspectors to see immediate changes (we are not allowed a gateway). What solution is out there for us? I know Power Automate/USERPRINCIPALNAME offers a solution, but if there's an easier one, I'd love to hear about it!
The data behind the points on the map comes from SQL, and the info about who claims what points goes into an Excel sheet.
Thanks.

Hi @bonjourposte ,
You can create a synchronized slicer for each page:
Interacting with bing maps via slicers.
Then set up a page navigate button, then set up a page navigate button, which will navigate the current page to the page you drilled down to.
The final output will be like this:

Thanks, Xianda, but I couldn't use that solution because I didn't have a way to "claim" the names within the parameter in order to create the parameter. So I just used a bit of power automate. I added a button that they could click on once they filtered for their addresses, that would automatically populate an excel sheet in sharepoint. Then I manually refresh the report to bring in those names. Oh well, I was trying to avoid Power Automate a bit.
If you have recently started exploring Fabric, we'd love to hear how it's going. Your feedback can help with product improvements.
