Hi all, I am still new and learning powerBI so please be kind.. 🙂
I am creating some visuals for the local fire department. I am looking at the distribution of events by shift time, and as well by day of week and month. the only way i could do this was to create two charts, one with shift time and month and the other with shift time and day of week. I would also like to see the distribution of each YOY, but again i need to create a 3rd chart to see what i want.
Is there a way, i think using parameters (based on my google searches) that i can allow the user to decide what they want to see, and have one single chart? My initial try with parameters didnt give me what i wanted.
The images attached are my initial page with my 2 charts, and the second is what i would want things to look like YOY, after selecting a single month in the slicer. I want to be able to have the user select what they want to see in a single chart - shift time, month or day of week, and YOY if they so choose.
Thanks in advance!
Mike

Hi @mikegrad77
Have you tried using Modelling -> New Parameter -> Fields
You can have a slicer for your categories and another for the KPIs
