question about power query
how can I make table 1 to table 2?
1.
| a | b | a | b |
| 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 |
2.
| a | b |
| 1 | 2 |
| 3 | 4 |
| 2023 data? | 2023 data? |
also, if first a and b is 2021 dataset, and second a and b is 2022 dataset, and I will add 2023 dataset, what opreation do I need so that I can have a year slicer in my report?
look like below:

| 2021 |
| 2022 |
| 2023 |
| a and b slicer |
| a |
| b |
the report outcome:

You will need to perform the unpivot all columns operation in power query. This will ensure that any other columns that you add will also be included in the operation after every refresh.Please note that two columns cannot have the same name, so Power query will append a suffix automatically. You can simply perform a replace operation to remove the suffix.
You can then use the attribute column as the slicer in your report.
As for year, you either need to include that as a separate column in your dataset, or add a conditional column based on certain rules to map each row to a year.Kind regards,
