Hi everyone.
I am looking to calculate revenue QTD but with a twist.
Obviously QTD is easy to calculate using a slicer for the required quarter, however in the case of my company we regularly move accounts from one sales person to the next on a monthly basis, and unfortunately any revenue earned by the sales person 'move' with the account to the new person making historical data untraceable.
Currently using Excel we calculate this by 'copy + paste values' of each preceeding month in the quarter and then add the revenue earned so far daily.
e.g. April = $1000
May = $2000
MTD June = $450
I can place a manual value for each month in our database so that it can be retrieved from there but my question is, how do I then add these values to the MTD revenue value (also pulled from the database)?
Thanks in advance, Ian
Hi @idrabble,
Could you please mark the proper answer if it's convenient for you? That will be a help to others.
Best Regards!

This one had gone on the back burner so I have not had a chance to complete this yet. I will do so as soon as I find a solution
Hi,
What kind of dataset do you have? If you have detailed revenue records, you can use MTD. Could you please post a sample here?
Something like this is good to use MTD:
Date Revenue
2017-06-01 10
2017-06-02 20
2017-06-03 30
... ...
Best Regards!
Dale
