put one date range for all files

Hello All,

I have a report base on 7 different CSV files.

All files have a date column.

In two files date column called "Created Date Time"

In the rest 5 files it is called "Created"

In this report I am dispalying counts in the boxes for each file.

I want to put the date range on the top of report so user can select date range on thier choice.

7 separate files.

1) How to put one date range for all files?

2) Do I need to rename the column names and make it same name for the date column?

Thanks

  • sdhn , Make sure you have truncated date in all files

    In case date has timestamp other than 12:00 AM create a new date like

    Date = [datetime].date
    or
    Date = date(year([datetime]),month([datetime]),day([datetime]))

    in Power Query
    DateTime.Date([datetime])

    Create a date table and join all the tables with that date table and use date range filter from that date table

    To get the best of the time intelligence function. Make sure you have a date calendar and it has been marked as the date in model view. Also, join it with the date column of your fact/s. Refer :radacad sqlbi My Video Series Appreciate your Kudos.
