problem accessing excel file on one drive
- Anonymous2 years ago
Hi keithm ,
Here are my steps you can follow as a solution:
1.Obtain the Correct Link from OneDrive:
- Navigate to your OneDrive for work or school location using a browser. Select the ellipses (...) to open the More menu, then select Details.
- In the More details pane that appears, select the copy icon next to Path.
2.Use the Copied Link in Power BI Desktop:
- In Power BI Desktop, select Get data > Web.
- Paste the copied link into the From Web dialog box.
3.Authentication:
- If prompted for credentials, choose Organizational Account. This is crucial for Microsoft 365 or OneDrive for work or school sites.
- After entering your credentials, you should be able to access the Excel file.
