previousmonth not working as expected in matrix?

last month Sales = CALCULATE(SUM(Sales[Sales Amount]),previousmonth('Date'[Date]))

 I have matrix with Contact name, Total sales and Difference in % for Current and Previous Month columns , As I dont have date coulmn in matrix I have added a date filter in the Visual level , But previousmonth is not working as expected?

Can you provide a sample pbix without sensitive data? That is the most straight forward for us to understand your model.

@PowerBITesting No real surprise there, T"I" functions become more of a hassle than a help if not used in very specific ways.
