does power bi provides pre built report templates for common reportings needs such as fund performance, contribution tracking, and compliance status reports etc

Power BI does offer several options to help you get started with common reporting needs such as fund performance, contribution tracking, and compliance status reports, though some level of customization is usually required depending on your data model and KPIs.
Microsoft provides a collection of sample datasets and Power BI Desktop reports (.pbix files) that can be used as starting points. You can find these here:
