I'm getting the following expression error message in Power Query when I added a column and converted to percentage:
expression error we cannot convert a value of type binary to type list
Any suggestions on how to resolve???
Thanks

Solved! Go to Solution.
I found the error by changing the data format type on my calculated column from General to Number.
Thanks

How?
The error message states that a list is expected instead of binary, which can be anywhere, so without context it is impossible for us to give a good answer.
So you need to provide more specific information, like code samples, screen shots, etcetera to clarify the issue.
And don't forget to indicate precisely at which query step you (first) get the error message.
