pop out slicer panel

i have created a popout slicer panel using bookmarks and image so that if user click on image then slicer panel pops out . simialrly, if user click on cross image( located on top right then slicer panel disappears. problem is if i select any value in slicer then it wont pass on to main page ( which does not have slicer panel opened) as shown below

@powerbiexpert22 I may be coming from the wrong direction on this...
Is this a question of layers of visuals on the slicer pane? e.g. when you click on a value in the slicer, does it 'select'? 
If the slicer value does 'select', then is the interaction on between slicer and visual and is the relationship between dim slicer table and fact visual table set up (if appropriate)? 
If it doesn't 'select', then is that because something is on top of the slicer now, having opened the panel? Sometimes if the panel is above the slicers in the order on the Selection pane then it becomes on top of the slicers.

Have you tried Performance Analyzer to see what is being clicked (or not clicked) when you click on the slicer?
