I've noticed that .pbix files take significantly less space after the last update. For example, a 3.700 KB file went to 880KB after I saved it with latest version of PBI Desktop. Has anyone else noticed that? I didn't find anything about it in Power BI documentation and blog posts. Can anybody explain what exactly changed?
Thanks!

Hi @IvanMislav, @adhilmowlana,
I got a feedback that it is the expected result, as new compression was added to the model data when we save it in PBIX file. ![]()

Hi @IvanMislav, @adhilmowlana,
I also noticed it. I will try to confirm it with the Product Team, and post back if there is any feedback. ![]()

I also noticed a sigificant drop in Power BI file size. I had a file of 800 MB which is now less than 300 MB..
Yes, I also noticed a significant change. I had a PBI file of about 800 MB which is now less 300 MB.
