parameter date roll-up displaying weekday names

a parameter with a date roll-up (annually, quaterly, monthly, weekly, daily and day of the week) has been created. However, I want the daily, which is every day of say a certain month to show the weekday names as well without creating a calculated column. 

I have tried to format it (see in bold) but it doesn't show up in the stacked column chart visual (where the x-axis is the parameter date roll-up) when I am using the parameter date roll-up in a slicer. What am I doing wrong?

Hi @leela77 ,

Because NAMEOF() function returns the name of a column or measure, you need to create a calculated column firstly, then add this column to parameter.
