paginated report can't connect parameters

Hi, in powerBI, I created a paginated report from my data using the visual and choosing fields, parameters, etc.
The report is in a workspace.
I also have a specific parameter in the report set up, and when when I run it in report builder it works fine.

But when I run it from PowerBI using the Paginated reports visual I get the following error
You have attempted to pass an invalid parameter value from the item(s) you have selected.
Please update your selections, or enter the parameter values manually,
or contact the report author to update the parameter bindings for the paginated report.

Is this a permissions issue?  My back end is SQL Server 2022 and my PowerBI Report is connected to that data. I have no problem accessing that server.

So it looks like the bottom line is that I can't seem run it directly from the powerbi paginated report visual.

Any help is appreciated.

Since your report on the power bi workspace is working fine, I only can think that you did not associate/link parameters between power bi and paginated report.
