on premises wnterprises data gateway i can create my virtual machine

Hi export,
today new azure SSAS.i am new this.
my qutions:if azure SSAS also need on primises data gatwway?
2.where i can install my enterprises data gateway?in azure inswlf or other place(mean my VItial machin(VM)
3.plase anybody please expain rules for installation enterprisea gateway.(my datasource is Azure sql analytic service)

If your Azure SSAS is retrieving data from on-premise data source, you need to install on-premise gateway. See: Data sources supported in Azure Analysis Services

The data gateway need to be installed on the server/computer which hosts the on-premise gateway. So you should install it on your VM. 

For Azure SSAS, it only has on-premise gateway. There's no personal gateway.
