is there a way to notify admin  or any user in case if report is taking too long to run or direct query is taking to long

or if fabric warehouse is taking too long to run?

Hi @powerbiexpert22

Yes, it's possible to create notifications for slow-running reports, DirectQuery interactions, or Fabric Warehouse queries using Power Automate. You can monitor the performance of these processes and trigger notifications to admins or other users when performance thresholds are exceeded

Create a Power Automate Flow:

  • Trigger: Use a trigger based on a scheduled event (e.g., a daily or hourly check) or a specific event like a report refresh or a query completion.
  • Actions:
  • Check Performance Metrics: Use a Power Automate action to access the Performance Analyzer data, Query Insights, or Flow Analytics data to retrieve execution times.
  • Compare with Thresholds: Compare the execution times to your defined performance thresholds.
  • Send Notifications: If the threshold is exceeded, use Power Automate actions to send email, SMS, or other notifications to admins or users.
