Hello -
I have two tables exporting order information. The User_ID field is listed on each line of the table for both tables. I can't create a Many:Many relationship.
I don't want to duplicate 1 of the queries as they are big file loads and it slows performance. Is there a way to create a 3rd table which is the User_ID column from another table that I could then remove duplicates?
How does one go about creating a new table from a column of another table without replicating the query?
thanks,
@Anonymous
Your scenario is not clear. Do the two tables have the exact same columns? If yes, to remove the duplicated rows, you can append those two queries and remove duplicates in the query editor window. If not, how are the duplicates determined?
Please be more specific on your scenario.
Yes, you can use the Power Query editor to do that.
From Power BI Desktop
1) on the Home tab click "Edit Queries"
2) in Power query, right click your table in the left hand menu and select "duplicate". This should create a copy of your table
3) in the Home tab, select "Remove Duplicates"
Close and apply. 🙂
