my data does not show/display

I am new to Power BI. I am an excel guru & do SharePoint Dev, so I thought it would be a breeze.   I am NOT using "deskstop" rather simple log-in service.  All the blurbs say there is really no dif...

Hi dpenny,

 

Definitely use Power BI Desktop. The online version is only for end users that want basic capability to browse through a dataset.

 

To answer your question, Power BI Online only reads Excel data that have been converted to Tables (ie. CTRL T). Power BI Online will read and understand any table relationships that you have created in Excel as well.
