multiply two colums in same table

Dear,

I'm new to DAX.

I'm trying to multiply two columns: quantity and trade price. (the colums are in the same table)
For this I'm using the product formula, but I keep receiving an error that the syntax is incorrect.

Could somebody please help?

Product I think just works across one column and not multiple, does a measure like Sales = [quantity]*[trade price] not work?

@niekdp why not just share your formula instead of letting everybody wild guessing what would be wrong with it?

Next time I will do this, thx!

Yes that should work, if it's in the same table. What error are you getting?

What is the formula you are currently using? What error does it give?
