minimum F capacity for embedding

What is the minimum FCapacity license (example F2, F3 , F64 etc) required for embedding Power BI reports with angualar portal?

    Hi powerbiexpert22 ,

     

    For embedding scenarios, the minimum F SKU you can use is F1, but keep in mind it's super limited — mainly good for testing or very light usage. For anything production-level, you'd probably want to start with F2 or higher, depending on how many users and how heavy the reports are.

    Also, make sure you're using the right capacity region and that your workspace is assigned to that capacity.

    The minimum Azure-based F SKU required to embed Power BI reports including into an Angular portal is F1 capacity. This SKU provides 1 vCore and is available only through the Azure portal, not via the Microsoft 365 admin center.

    While F1 technically supports embedding scenarios, it is primarily designed for development or very light testing purposes. Its limited resources make it unsuitable for production environments where multiple concurrent users, larger datasets, or complex visuals are involved.

     

    For production-grade deployments, it is strongly recommended to start with F2 or higher, depending on your workload requirements such as report complexity, concurrent user load, and refresh frequency.

    Additionally, ensure that your Power BI workspace is correctly assigned to the chosen Azure capacity and that the capacity is provisioned in a region that aligns with your embedding environment to minimize latency.
