Hi all,
I have tried multiple things but can't seem to get my matrix to sort correctly. I want to be able to sort month name YY-MMM correctly horizontally and vertically. Something so simple this is driving me NUTS.
I tried sorting by KEY_AccountingPeriod (YYYYMM) and changing type to INT but no matter what I try I'm not getting the results I'm expecting... what am I missing? The date table is coming from SQL Azure db.

I have figured it out, it's quite simple I was confusing the functionality between sorting a column and sorting a column by ANOTHER column. I simply had to click on my accounting month name column, then click sort by column KEY_AccountingPeriod and sorts correctly. Clicking sort ascdending/descending on any column was not necessary
If you add KEY_AccountingPeriod (YYYYMM) field (the one converted to integer) to the table and then select sort ascending using the field what are the results you are getting?
Hi thanks for your reply, just to be specific you mean add KEY_AccountingPeriod to the matrix? select sort ascending using which field KEY_AccountingPeriod or AccountingMonthName?
i sort by accounting period, correct although i notice my key_accountingdate is now incorrect in some areas
key_accounting period is correct in matrix
accounting month name still incorrect on it's own
