mapping issues PBI

    Here are some steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue of "Mapping and map elements are disabled" in Power BI:

    1. Verify Global Settings in Power BI Desktop

    • Check Global Settings:
      • Go to File > Options and settings > Options.
      • Under Global > Security, ensure that Maps and Filled Maps are enabled. Since you’ve already enabled them, consider toggling the setting off and on again.

    2. Check Data Privacy Settings

    • Adjust Privacy Settings:
      • Go to File > Options and settings > Options.
      • Under Global > Privacy, set the data privacy level to Ignore the privacy levels and potentially improve performance. This setting can sometimes affect how maps work.

    3. Update Power BI Desktop

    • Check for Updates:
      • Although you’re on a recent version, check if there’s a newer update available. Go to File > Options and settings > Options > Updates and ensure you’re on the latest version.

    4. Network and Firewall Restrictions

    • Check Network Settings:
      • Sometimes, corporate networks or firewalls block access to mapping services. Ensure that your network allows access to the required endpoints for Power BI maps, such as Bing Maps.

    5. Regional Settings

    • Verify Locale Settings:
