load SQL statement results into powerbi desktop
When powerbi loads SQL statements into powerbi desktop, does it import the results from the data source and then import them into pbi desktop, or does it load the data from the data source into the memory of powerbi and then execute the SQL query results?
load SQL statements results from powerbi desktop is slower than load SQL view with same query conditons from database?

It really dependes on the Query and if "Query folding is happening" . I will leave you below an article that explain what query folding is and how it works. I hope that help 🙂
