limit slicer YEAR in a live connection

hi all,

i have a slicer YEAR with to much years from 1990 - 2029. i want to limit it to 2017-2019 (year of today and the last 3 years).

the problem is that i work in a live connection with a tabular model. i cant write columns. only measures. and measures are not accepted in slicers.

Hi,

I assume that you should be having a Date Column. This Date Column should be connected to another Table which would have the Continuous set of Date Values. When you are seeing this column inside of Power BI, you should be seeing the Year in the Hierarchy. Add this to the Slicer.

Now to limit it to the last 3 years, Take the Date Column in the Dim_Date (Diemension Table) and add the same to the Reports' Page Level Filter. Now Select Relative Filtering Option and You can input Anything like 36 and Months.
