kpi indicator doesn't sum

Another solution with more flexibility to cover the issue raised by sixtoquiles is to start with an Area Chart and a Card. If you give them both a transparent background you can emulate the same look and feel, and if you send the Card to the background you can still get mouseover tooltips for the Area Chart.
