GretaK , Make sure enough RAM and Harddisk is free. Close all other programs
Make sure no windows patch is pending. Install any pending patches
Make sure you are using latest version of Power BI Desktop
Clear system temp files.
Open empty power bi files and
- Go to File > Options and settings > Options.
- Under Data Load, click on Clear Cache.
Disable nonessential preview features: Go to File > Options and settings > Options > Preview features
Reinstall power bi and try.

Hi GretaK
The error report you've provided indicates a Microsoft.Mashup.Host.Document.SerializedException error, which is a bit generic and could be caused by various issues within the Power BI environment.
Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue:
Update Power BI Desktop, make sure that you are running the latest version of Power BI Desktop.
Check if there are any issues with the data sources you are using. Ensure that the connections are valid and that the credentials are correct.
Check for corrupted files, if the error occurs with a specific Power BI report, it might be corrupted. Try opening the report on another machine or create a new report and import the data again.
Since you have several preview features enabled, try disabling them to see if one of them is causing the issue.
Best Regards
