invoking custom function for folder gives bad data

I am having a weird issue when invoking a custom function in PBI. Step 1) I have a data source that pulls from a single HTML file, cleans it up and then I created a function out of it. Step 2) I then have a data source that pulls from a folder of HTML files (300+) and applies the function to each but I noticed my data look incorrect.

It seems when I apply the function to all the files in the folder in step 2... all the number values are being overridden by the number value from the file in step 1. I should have a years worth of data with daily changes up or down but I am getting the exact same value for the full year. If I open the source files, they are all correct. So something is going wrong when the function is applied. I also have the exact same thing happening with PDF files so I know it is not a file type issue. My feeling is this is a version issue because I have done this exact thing in the past with no issues. I tried on someone else's computer, with the same version, and it does the same thing as mine so it is not unique to my computer. Has anyone seen something like this?

Update: I changed the data source from a specific file type and instead navigate to it via a sharepoint folder. I also tried a different set of files in excel format, completely different data, and I am still having this issue. I looked through the advanced editor and there is nothing that sticks out as incorrect. The number of steps is relatively limited. I am just trying anything at this point to narrow down the issue and I'm having no luck.

The latest version of Power BI Desktop works fine for me. You might need to check code in The Advanced Editor.

What should I be looking for in the advanced editor? Nothing sticks out as unusual.
