Advocate IIIinstall multiple version of power bi
Super UserHey,
if you are running on Windows 10 it's possible to install two versions.
Install Power BI from the store, this will update automatically (of course this depends on your update settings). This will always provide the latest version of Power BI. Be careful there are two Power BI applications inside the store the Mobile app and Power BI Desktop. Make sure you choose Power BI Desktop :-)
Then you can install the production version manually, receiving it from here:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=45331 or if you need other versions than you can use this archive: https://zenatti.net/2017/07/04/power-bi-previous-versions/
The store version has little black frame, so it's possible to differentiate both versions:

Do you mean shortcuts to each exe file?
I am trying to do this because i am getting a msg:
"Report layout differences might exist."
So i can't open it. I was able to open the last saved file, and all i did on the latest file was removed a column from power query but now I am getting this msg. I dont want to commit to a new power desktop version, because in the past when i upgraded, i can't open certain files.

Exactly, I mean links to the executables.
It takes some time to not-double click a pbix but now I'm used to opening the pbix after I have opened the proper Power BI Desktop version..
