if you are adding column with values which can be summarized --> to show items with no data you need to firstly turn off the Sum function in Values part --> then tick the option Show items with no data --> and then when you need to tick Sum function again.
You shouldn't need to sort an index column after you've added it. Do you have any Filter steps after you add the index, which would explain the missing values?

I have found the problem, as power BI is evaluating quality of each column, the column which have some null values are automaticaly not showed in the visualization.
Is this some new feature ?
I do not remmember that the PowerBI was filtering the null out of visuals by default.
