importing live stocks data without using API or complex dax

According to your description, doing data cleanup in power query is one of the options. But for powerbi, it provides more of a data visualization display function.
My suggestion is that you can use the data cleaning software to clean the data, and then connect to this data source in powerbi, or if you want to get real-time data, you can choose direct query mode to connect to the data source instead of import mode.Using DirectQuery in Power BI - Power BI | Microsoft Learn
