importing additional column from excel (.xls) file
Hi All,
I have an excel (.xls) file . I working on it and created some reports in power bi based on the file. Now I required to import another added column to orginal excel file.
It is possible in .csv that i know.
But i am not aware the way for excel file.Kindly update with an idea.

According to your description, here is my solution.
The best way to handle Excel data sources is to create tables, add columns or add rows in excel and then refresh data in Power BI.
If the new column is created by dax or Power Query, you need to publish the report to service and then you can "export it to excel" as the following screenshot shows. Power BI Desktop only supports "export to csv.".
Please reference the following document to learn more about "export to excel" and "export to csv.".
