Hello,
In, PowerBI Desktop, when I create a Data source connection to an SQL database, only the DirectQuery option is active, the Import option is grayed out / inactive, so I cannot select Import.
What is going wrong?
Regards,
Hennie

It sounds to me that you already have a Direct Query query in your Desktop file. In my experience, once you create a Direct Query query, the option to Import data into the data model is no longer available.

...I found out I don't need to change the desktop file, just create a new model / connection, thanks you for your help!
OK,
Thank you for your reply.
Is it possible to edit or delete that desktop file? What filename does it have?
