Hi All,
i have a PowerBI pro licence but i need to share my report within my organization with people who dont have pro licence - how can i do that ?
Is there a premium workspace which we can procure ( how much is the cost) or there is some non cost method through which i can share my powerbi reports with non pro licence people/groups within my organization.
can i locally share the pbix file with people ?
Do they need pro licence or desktop version to open it?
Hi @RUPSY777 ,
If you are useing import mode then yes, you can locally share the pbix file. If so, they don't need pro license. Their Power BI Desktop version need to be higher or equal with yours.
Best Regards,
Jay
Hi ,
POWER BI desktop is not free so its there any other way to share report with end users who dont have any powerbi pro/desktop/premium.
Hi @RUPSY777 ,
Power BI Desktop is free. You can download it freely from Microsoft store or through the link below.

yes its free for personal laptop but when we do via organization - its comes with price so we cant procure it freely.
Hi @RUPSY777 ,
Are we talking about Power BI Desktop? You mean you have to pay so that you can install Desktop on the computer? I was guessing you can download the pbix file and share it with people who don't have pro license then they can open the file through Power BI Desktop on their computer. If that didn't work, you may need Premium license or you can publish the report to web.
Best Regards,
Jay
You can use Publish to Web (highly insecure). Anyone with the link can see the report, there is no authentication.
Power BI Premium starts at around $5K/month.
@MattAllington has a blog series about how to use Embedded to do this, that's less expensive, I think an A2 is like $2K/month if you run it 24/7.
