how to set forecasting seasonality with fewer observations

Hi all,

I have fewer data points (9 data points, data coming from every week) and have to forecast for the next 4 points. I have no idea to set seasonality for this. Normally if we have daily, weekly, monthly data and we put  365,52 and 12 as seasonality respectively. How to set seasonality if only 9 data points are available.

Please take a look and give some guidance.

Thanks. But can you please clarify the reason to show range results when the seasonality below data points?

Hi  @Anonymous ，

The seasonality in the forecast indicates the number of points in the recurring seasonality pattern. So, in my opinion, since your sample data has 9 days, when you set seasonality to 9 points, it will show the forecast results based on that. When you set seasonality to other points below 9, it will show the range results.
