I have this simple dataset…
Is just a table1 join table2…
The data is getting larger… and I wanted to filter out by city…
In ssrs, I usually create a parameter, add a drop-down and then pass the @value to the SP or the code…
Can I do something similar in POWER BI? How?
Please follow this article:
https://www.mssqltips.com/sqlservertip/4475/using-parameters-in-power-bi/
I have followed the example, but....
where does the user input the parameter?
Hi @maca128,
From your screenshoots, it seems that you want to type the parameter in Power BI Service.
However, as I know, parameter feature is not available in Power BI Service currently. You also could have a reference of the replies in this thread.
In addition, you could vote this idea in here which has been submitted in Power BI ideas Forum and add your comments there to improve Power BI and make this feature coming sooner.
Best Regards,
Cherry
