how to make dynamic measure name

Hi,

I have created a forecast measure, I want to make the measure name dynamic based user's selection of forecast version. E.g., If users select version LE02 in the filter panel, the measure name becomes Forecast LE02, if user select version LE01, the measure name becomes Forecast LE01.

Is there a solution to this?

Hi, @Jeanxyz

Not clear what you want.

If you are referring to dynamically changing the name of the measure itself, this feature is temporarily not supported in powerbi.

Currently,PowerBI only supports dynamically changing the title in the visualization based on the slicer. As follows:

Thanks! The forecast version is selected by report owner in the filter panel, users should not be able to change it. However, I would like to show the forecast verison in the table itself. Currently the measure is named as Forecast (see printscreen), I would like to as version no. LE02 next to the measure name.

Hi,  @Jeanxyz

I'm sorry,  that's not possible.

Currently PowerBI only supports  changing the name of a measure manually.

what you asking for cannot be done to dinamically change the measure name itself.

@Jeanxyz Most of the visual has title option, if you go to format pane, you will see Title which is probably turned off.

@Jeanxyz

The measure name cannot be renamed as you desire, it is part of the Object Model. You can probably show a dynamic text based on the selection and show it on a Textbox.

I suggest you post an idea on this or vote for one if it already exists: https://ideas.powerbi.com/ideas/

@Jeanxyz don't you have different values for different forecasts? although you cannot change the name but you can add a dynamic title to the visual-based on the selection?

My visual is a matrix table, there is no title option in this type of visuals.
